Soybean Seeds - 25 Lbs.

Soybeans - For Wildlife Food Plots

Warm season annual legume produced for seed and wildlife food.

Soybeans are very attractive to deer from the onset of emergence. Very important food source for doves, duck, rabbit, quail and turkey. Soybeans are especially attractive to wildlife because they also offer cover.

They are so preferred that most small acreage plantings will be killed quickly by deer grazing pressure. It will not re-grow from early browse pressure, so it will need fencing or repellents in small fields.

Soybeans are ideal for mixing with grain sorghum, peas, corn, alyce clover or other warm season annual legumes. At maturity it will make high quality seed for game birds and deer. Individual plantings of soybeans can be staggered by planting date to provide season long production.

Planting:

  • Date: April - August
  • Rate: 35 lbs. per acre or 1 lb. per 1000 sq. ft.
  • Depth: 1"

Best for: Deer, Turkey, Duck, Pheasant, Rabbit, Quail.

The seeds came much faster than I expected...

What a pleasant surprise that night to check my email before retiring to find a delivery update. My newly ordered seeds had arrived. IT had been snowing, so the delivery person made a special effort to have the well sealed box placed at the front steps. The seeds inside were safe.
The seeds look great. I'll try sprouting a few to see what the germination rate looks like... But honestly, I think I'm going to have a great crop. Perhaps I can update you as the project progresses!
