Diquat

Pond lillies were put in our pond over 20 years ago. They quickly grew around the edge and made the pond unfishable. My father tried everything to get rid of the lillies. I inheirited the farm and continued to try and eliminate the lillies but had little success until I tried diquat. Once sprayed with diquat, the lillies die in about 3 hours. I still have small patches that surface and try to spread. I can control them with periodic treatments during the summer months. I have put 4 grass eating carp in the pond with hopes they will help with eating the submerged grass and lwhat few lillies that grow. But right now the diquat is my best defense against the lillies and it also works great for duck weed when it grows. Diquat is also better than glyfosate for weeds and grass in the yard and on the property. Thanks.
