Tordon RTU Specialty Herbicide - 1 Quart

Tordon RTU Specialty Herbicide

Tordon RTU herbicide is a ready-to-use product that is effective in cut surface applications for killing unwanted trees and preventing undesirable sprouting of cut trees in forest and other non-crop areas such as fence rows, roadsides and rights-of-way. Tordon RTU contains blue dye to aid in keeping track of which stumps have been treated.

Application methods:

  • Tree injection treatment: Use 1 millimeter of undiluted Tordon RTU solution through the bark completely around the tree trunk at intervals of 2-3 inches.
  • Frill/Girdle treatment: Make a single hack girdle or "frill" of overlapping ax cuts through the bark around the tree as close to the ground as possible. Spray/paint the injured surface with enough undiluted Tordon RTU to wet treated areas.
  • Stump treatment: Spray or paint the cut surfaces of freshly cut stumps with undiluted Tordon RTU (cambium area next to the bark is the most vital area to wet).

Active ingredients:Picloram 5.4% 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid,

Quick delivery of Tordon

I haven't had a chance to use the tordon yet so I can't give you and opinion about it at the moment, but I would like to thank you for the fast delivery. As I am cutting out Prickly Ash and Buckthorn here in Minnesota I intended on using it now, but we finally had snow and I'll have to wait awhile. Thanks, BG
