Rate of use:
Flower beds:1 cup per 25 square feet, 4 times per year
Roses and large shrubs: 1/2 cup per 4 feet of height, 4 times per year
Trees: 1/2 cup per inch of trunk diameter, but no more than 5 cups per tree per application. Fertilize twice per year
Vegetable gardens: 1/2 cup per 25 feet of row, monthly
Apples, pears, peaches, and plums: 2-4 cups for mature trees, according to size, three times per year during spring and summer
Citrus: for mature trees, 1 cup per foot of tree canopy; for young trees or recent transplants, 1/2 cup. Fertilize 3 times per year, but not during November-January.
