Serendipity Triplesweet Sweet Corn Seeds
Rogers/Syngenta variety introduced in '99. Triplesweet hybrids combine the exceptional tenderness and sweet corn flavor with extra sweetness, extended shelf life and field holding ability. Triplesweet bi-color delivers more consistent, longer lasting sweetness even under drought stress. 8" (20 cm.) ear length, good tip fill with 16-18 rows, medium green husk matures in 82 days. Non-genetically engineered seeds.
Culture: Sowing 1" (2.5 cm.) deep, in well tilled, very fertile soil of 60-65 degrees is optimal. Triplesweet must be separated from other super sweet varieties and 600' away from field corn. Space rows about 3' (90 cm.) apart, in full sun, thin to 12" (30 cm.) apart, providing even moisture.
Harvest:82 days, when silks are brown and dry. Exceptionally suited for home garden and fresh market. Holds flavor days after peak maturity.
Nutrition: Vitamins A and C and iron.
Suggestions: Steam 3-4 minutes or cook at boil 4-5 minutes. Blanch to freeze or can.
