Tomato Roma VF Seed - 1 Packet

Heirloom Roma VF Tomato Seeds

Also known as the "paste tomato." Large, red, plum type. Vigorous, strong, medium-large determinate plants produce mild, solid, thick walled, 2 Oz. pear to plum shaped fruits. Very good disease resistance, popular fresh market, great tasting, early 70-78 days from transplant. Non-genetically engineered.

Culture:For earliest harvest, sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost, keeping soil temperature in the mid 70's. Grow in full sun. Shift hardened transplants to garden shortly after last frost. Water regularly and fertilize when plants are 6" (15 cm.) tall and again in mid-summer or cage to save space.

Harvest: Pick carefully when richly colored and firm, but before fruit begins to soften.

Nutrition: Rich in calcium, iron, and vitamins A and C.

Uses: Cooking, canning, and paste.
