Acclaim Extra is a post-emergent herbicide most known for its reliability to control crabgrass and goose grass without harming desirable turf. It works in a single treatment and weeds die as fast as one week. It is effective in a wide range of growth stages with flexible timing and use. Acclaim is a water-based formulation and simplifies handling. Acclaim Extra can also be used to temporarily suppress the growth of Johnson grass rhizomes and common bermudagrass.

The title of my reviews says it all. I tank mix Acclaim Extra with Triclopyr Ester and Halosulfuron and spray my fescue lawn a few times during the hot Summer months. The mixture kills crabgrass, broadleafs like spotted spurge and nutsedge. It also knocks back Bermuda grass so it does not overtake the fescue.
