Magnesium Sulfate Fertilizer Controls Magnesium deficiency (yellowing between the veins of older leaves on plants). On palms, this deficiency appears as yellowing of older leaflets while the center of the palm blade remains green. Eventually, the tips of the older leaves will brown. Most plants respond well to the addition of SA-50 Magnesium Sulfate and will return to a dark green color after the application. The soil pH can also be a factor in magnesium deficiency, and should be maintained at about 6.0 - 6.5.
