Bush Blue Lake 274 Bean Seeds
Superior flavor of the famous Blue Lake is plump, with 6" (15 cm.) round, dark green, fleshy pods, slow white seed development. Non-genetically engineered seeds.
Culture: Any good well drained soil with a pH above 6 will grow beans. Beans do not tolerate cool wet soil. After last frost date, when soil reaches approximately 50 degrees F, sow seed 4" (10 cm.) apart, 1" (2.5 cm.) deep in rows 24" (60 cm.) apart. Thinning is not necessary. Successive planting can be made every 3 weeks. Water regularly and fertilize when 3" (7.5 cm.) tall.
Harvest: When pods are 6" (15 cm.) long and plump. Pick regularly to encourage new pod set.
Preserving: Can or freeze.
Nutrition: Low in calories, high in fiber, complex carbohydrates and protein.
