Heirloom Fordhook Bush #242 Lima Bean Seeds
Exceptional yield. Most reliable of the bush varieties with large greenish-white seeds, large flat pods. 3-4 beans per pod. 16"-20" (40-50 cm.) plants. Plants are sturdy and erect. Non-genetically engineered.
Culture:Any good well drained soil with a pH above 6 will grow beans. Beans do not tolerate cool wet soil. After last frost date, when soil reaches approximately 50 degrees F, sow seed 2" (5 cm.) apart.
Harvest: Maturity 75 days. For fresh beans the pods should be picked when mature and the seeds have swelled, but before the pods turn yellow, harvest whole plant, hang upside down in well ventilated area to dry.
