I live in the central valley of California, it’s hot and dry. We started our pasture from complete scratch. Had it disced twice and began planting in sections, watered 5 times a day with tripod sprinklers for an hour, for a couple of weeks (temps 90 - 115). The seed sprouted. This started in June, it’s now July and we have mowed it twice. Getting it ready for horses. Customer service was also fantastic. We had a shipping issue and they took care of it immediately. Highly recommend.
